Chris Campbell’s teaching and research interests lie primarily within the fields of postcolonial literature and theory, Caribbean literature, and ecocriticism. He has also published on articles on black British writing from the eighteenth century to the present. His current research, focussing on the theoretical intersections between ecocritical writing and contemporary Caribbean studies, examines the work of Derek Walcott and Wilson Harris in relation to ecological issues in the Caribbean and the legacy of European Romanticism.
