Postgraduate Funding (MA/MRes) in the School of English and Drama

The School of English and Drama would like to announce the availability of up to 2 AHRC studentships and 8 Queen Mary bursaries (£1000 each) to be awarded to applicants for MA/MRes programmes. All applications for MA/MRes programmes received before 29 March 2012 will be considered for funding. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS DEADLINE HAS NOW PASSED.

The Awards
AHRC studentships are open to suitably qualified candidates from the UK and EU. The studentship comprises the full cost of fees and a £11,490 stipend for London-based students. For eligibility requirements please consult the AHRC's eligibility guidelines

Queen Mary bursaries are open to suitably qualified candidates from the UK, EU and Overseas. The bursary comprises of a £1,000 contribution towards the full cost of fees. Bursaries cannot be awarded to Queen Mary graduates who also receive discounted fees.

The MA in English Studies offers pathways in the following subject areas:

Pathway 1: English Literature
Pathway 2: Renaissance and Early Modern Studies
Pathway 3: Writing and Society 1700-1820
Pathway 4: Writing in the Modern Age

The Department of English also offers an MRes programme in Renaissance and Early Modern Studies.

The Department of Drama offers an MA in Theatre and Performance.
